ENVIDAN INVESTS HEAVILY IN DIGITALIZATION
With an efficiency requirement of 2% annually and historically great challenges in the climate area as well as in the pursuit of the green transition, the utilities sector has a great need for finding new solutions and workflows. For more than 10 years, EnviDan has developed digital solutions for just that purpose, and sees a huge optimization potential for digital solutions, which is now being turbocharged.
This is done, among other things, with the establishment of an independent division, which focuses exclusively on digital solutions for the utilities sector and with a strong profile at the end of the table to see things through.
In connection with a major organizational change in the entire EnviDan Group, the software business has become an independent division within the EnviDan family, which will ensure that the company's software range continuously provides the best data foundation for the utilities companies in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. This work is led by Morten Klank, who joins EnviDan's Executive Board as Managing Director for EnviDan's software division. Morten has been with EnviDan since 2019 and has many years of experience in successfully lifting digital businesses into the future.
CEO of EnviDan Morten Fjerbæk says about the choice of Morten Klank: “Morten has a unique knowledge of building and developing digital businesses, and although our software solutions already today are widely used across the utilities sector, we need an MD who has a distinct digital mindset if we are to succeed in creating the digital business that we aim for, and that we know our customers demand. Here we believe that Morten Klank is the right choice.”
The software solutions are still based on knowledge from water professionals
Although EnviDan's software solutions now have their own division, this does not mean that the water and wastewater professional knowledge on which the products have always been built is less focal. “What makes our products particularly relevant and value-creating for our customers is that they have been developed in a close collaboration between them and our skilled water and wastewater specialists. Our software products make a real difference in everyday life because we know our customers' challenges thoroughly and have the professional expertise to find the right digital solutions for them. All our products stem from specific needs in utilities companies, and this will continue to be the case,” assures Morten Klank. "It is our specialists who help specify requirements, test and implement our solutions, because we believe that it is in thee cross field between software and water and wastewater expertise that the gold is hidden." he concludes.
EnviDan has become a Microsoft Gold Partner in record time
Gold is also what EnviDan has just achieved in their collaboration with Microsoft. In January 2020, EnviDan became a Microsoft Silver Partner on the Azure Cloud platform, and now a year later, the silver has been converted to gold. Azure Cloud is an important technology in the digital solutions of the future, and therefore EnviDan is also happy with the gold partnership. "As a gold partner, we get a lot of benefits from Microsoft, which also benefits our customers." explains Morten Klank. “For example, we get early access to new technology, the opportunity to contribute to the development of new Microsoft products and a large network of specialists that we can draw on. At the same time, the certification has contributed to the upskilling of our own employees, and it is their skilled work in the process that we are most proud of,” praises Morten Klank.
