The environmental company EnviDan has great growth ambitions, and this requires a transition-ready organization that can accommodate the expected growth. Therefore, the company is now changing its organizational structure to a divisional organization, where the current CEO Morten Fjerbæk will continue as CEO of the EnviDan Group, while Ole Munk Nielsen will be COO, and thus responsible for the entire EnviDan Danish division.

"At EnviDan, we have always adhered to the principle of a flat management structure, and we have not wanted to put more layers into the management chain than is absolutely necessary, and this is still the case." explains Morten Fjerbæk. "We just have to acknowledge that if we are to achieve our vision of being a leading player in solutions for the entire water cycle, we need more bandwidth - also in the management team. It is important to us that we are close to our customers and responsive to their needs, and this requires that we make our decisions as close to them as possible, and that is in our business units. Here, Ole is a strong profile who knows our customers and they know him. I am therefore happy and proud that Ole has agreed to take the chair as COO in our Danish consulting business.” says Morten.

Since 2012, Ole has also been part of EnviDan's executive management, and he has therefore had a great influence on EnviDan's strategic direction and the values on which the company is based. Ole himself is very happy with the new challenges: “I know the industry and EnviDan inside and out, and I see a huge potential to bring our competencies into play even more with our customers. There is a huge need for innovative solutions within water and wastewater, and we have the industry's best employees to deliver these solutions. In our current strategy, we focus on Northern Europe based on our foothold in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.”

A strong team with great experience

In EnviDan in Denmark, Ole is flanked by a strong team of Business Directors, who within each of their subject areas must ensure the continued development of EnviDan. Søren Bruun Hansen will be Business Director for the wastewater treatment area, where he with his over 20 years in the industry has a completely unique knowledge of treatment plants, wastewater treatment and sustainable resource optimization. In relation to groundwater, extraction and distribution of clean water to Danish consumers and waterworks, Jesper Hall has been the natural choice as Business Director. Jesper was in charge of starting the clean water area in EnviDan in 2011 and has since been responsible for that area. A position he thus maintains in the new organization. Finally, on 1 January 2022, EnviDan welcomed Karina Buus as Business Director for drainage, climate and nature and the aquatic environment. Karina comes from a position as Project and Marketing Manager in Cowi within the climate and sewer systems area and therefore has the right profile to develop this area.

Still focus on combining high professionalism with high well-being

With the new company structure, EnviDan is also expanding its executive management, which until now has consisted of Morten Fjerbæk, Ole Munk Nielsen and EnviDan's CFO Michael Flindt Nielsen. The three will continue in the Executive Management but will be supplemented by Morten Klank, who will head EnviDan's digital division, Mads Uggerby, who will be the new Managing Director for Innovation & Sustainability, and Gitte Mønsted Hansen, who, as Managing Director for People & Culture, will ensure that employee well-being still has first priority.

As the business expands in Norway and Sweden, the Executive Management will expand with directors from the two countries. However, this position is currently handled by resp. Morten Fjerbæk for Sweden, and Ole Munk Nielsen for Norway.
