Features in the valve closure plan

With a valve closure plan you can:

  • Automatically identify required valves and affected addresses using GPS location or entered address.
  • Select the disconnected lines and addresses in the map or via list lookups based on actual conditions and availability of active valves.
  • Send SMS messages directly from the valve closure plan to all affected addresses with information about the outage when integrating with Blue Idea.
  • Export data to PDF and Excel.
  • Choose between different designation methods to get lists of mandatory and optional valves for shut-off, respectively.
  • Follow up on any forgotten or defective valves.

What to do if a pipe leaks

  1. Operators drive to ABC-vej 3 and locate the leak.
  2. Operators open the valve closure plan on a tablet or other mobile device and the location of the leak is shown with a background map from Google.
  3. The affected line is selected by clicking on the map in the valve closure plan and the event is created as a line leak.
  4. The system displays a graphical overview of which valves need to be closed to encapsulate the leak, and which addresses are affected.
  5. The operators close the valves.
  6. Operators export the affected addresses directly from the valve closure plan and notify citizens via SMS about the lack of water.
Hospital and factory
NOTE. As an additional feature, it is possible to detect particularly sensitive sites such as hospitals, food industries, agriculture etc. This way, operators can issue special warnings or initiate particularly necessary measures.
