More on the use of the technology

The method is simple to use and effective, as well as very flexible, as the size of the bags can be adapted as needed. The technology uses large porous bags consisting of a synthetic canvas (geotextile) that retains solid material while allowing excess water to drain off. There are several different types of geotextiles available depending on needs.

TenCate Geotube® technology is also available as a container model, where bag filling, dewatering and concentration takes place in the container, which is transported to the final recipient after the storage period.

At the same time, the technology requires minimal energy consumption and ensures the lowest possible volume for transportation and landfill or land application. The Geotube® bag is made of polypropylene and can be delivered for combustion after use.
